What is a property tour?
A property tour lets someone explore a home remotely. The useful question is what they can understand from it: the appearance of individual rooms, the route between them, or a spatial model. These are different needs. A tour helps prepare an in-person viewing; it does not show every detail of the property.
Four formats, four uses
A photo gallery
Separate images show the condition and atmosphere of each room. They are straightforward to produce, but the buyer has to work out how the rooms connect.
An interactive photo tour
Markers on doorways connect ordinary photos. The viewer chooses a route and moves between rooms. This is the format used by 1p1: a smartphone is enough, with no panoramic camera or 3D scanning.
A 360° tour
Panoramas let viewers look around from a fixed viewpoint. Capture equipment and processing depend on the chosen service. Check how clearly the viewpoints connect.
A 3D tour
A spatial model can provide an overview of the building. Capture, processing and any measurement features vary by provider. Check their accuracy and intended use before relying on measurements.
